F E PHILCOX have been established since 1973. As a small family business starting out as a motor workshop, we have developed over the past 30 years into steel fabrication. With over 30 years of experience in this field we have gained a large portfolio of bespoke gates, railings, staircases, garden structures and structural steel work projects. We pride ourselves in our customer service producing quality bespoke metal solutions at a competitive price.Established in 1973 by Frank Philcox , initially F.E.PHILCOX started life as motor engineers, but following an initial order to supply fabricated structural steel work to a local power station being constructed it led to a change in direction. Expertise was also gained in staircase, gate and balustrade fabrication.
In the late 80's Frank retired and left the running of the business to Richard Philcox and his wife Maggie with the help of Ian Bretherick. As the company grew Ian became more involved with running and developing the various aspects of the business. On Richard and Maggie's retirement Ian has continued with the business until the present day. You will find us in Catsfield near Battle, East Sussex where we manufacture everything. We cover Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey, London and the South East.
